Dear Okaloosa Democratic Family,
We find ourselves in uncharted territory as COVID 19 endangers lives, disrupts our routines, and ravages the economy. My greatest hope is that you and your family are safe and healthy.
This pandemic will require us to make adjustments to our get-out-the-vote efforts. The International Festival (3/22 FWB) and Triple B BBQ (3/28 Crestview) have been postponed, so we will not be doing voter registration on these days. The Florida Democratic Party has indicated that getting people signed up for vote-by-mail will become a priority. We will work with party leaders to revise our strategy, and keep you posted as we roll out new initiatives.
For the time being, our new office (60 2nd Street, Ste C-1, Shalimar 32579) will remain open from 10am-2pm every day except Wednesday and Sunday.
Finally, let’s keep in touch, check on each other and keep our fingers on the pulse of what is happening in our community. If you are aware of people who are in need of assistance, please let us know. Democrats are at our best when we rally together to protect the most vulnerable among us.
