Farewell Davey Jones

Okaloosa Democrats have lost one of our beloved Democratic warriors.

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Davey Jones, who departed this life on Sunday 16 November 2025. Davey was a cherished member of our Democratic community, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Davey had served the Okaloosa Democratic Party for over eight years. He served as Okaloosa’s State committeeman, Chairman of the Okaloosa Democratic Executive Committee and Okaloosa DEC Treasurer.

He understood political campaigns and how to organize volunteers to accomplish the campaigns objectives. He was a key worker and organizer during the Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris presidential campaigns.

I learned a lot from Davey Jones. He was a trusted friend and advisor. He was always available if I needed advice and direction with the Okaloosa DEC. Although I had only known Davey for about three years, he left a legacy of Democratic can-do attitude. He taught me to hang in there when facing adversity. He taught me not to give up.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Davey's family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

May Davey rest in peace.
