John Whitley

It is with heavy heart and great sadness that we received that news of the passing of one of our Okaloosa Democratic family, John Whitley.

John has long been active and involved with developing and strengthening our local party through the years, serving our DEC as both the State Committeeman, representing our county to the state party, and as Chairman of our Committee, leading us to very strong results in 2018. We saw increased volunteers, DEC membership and we significantly raised our profile in our county during his term as Chair.

John brought tremendous passion to us, and was one of the most generous and friendly souls we were blessed to have known. Always ready with a smile, and willing to taking the time to listen and speak with any and all of our membership, John was also not afraid to speak his mind and provide us leadership as a group.

While we are extremely heartbroken at this news of his passing, we are also very joyous of the time John spent with all of us and wish his family our deepest support in this difficult time.

We will provide information on donations and for a memorial service, as they become available to us.
