Visit the Okaloosa Women's Veteran Memorial with the DWC

Join the Okaloosa DWC for a walk through Women's history on Okaloosa Island on April 21st. The new Okaloosa Women's Veteran Memorial was

unveiled last year and features 8 bronze statues along a nature trail at Veterans Park on Okaloosa Island.

The Okaloosa DWC's April 21st general meeting, honoring Okaloosa Democratic Women Veterans, will begin with a walk along the trail beginning at 5:30pm. They will also host a picnic dinner and program at Ross Marler Park on Okaloosa Island beginning at 6:00PM. The two parks are in close proximity to each other.

Okaloosa has the second-highest population of women veterans in the country. The club is welcoming any who want to join with an honorary membership through the end of this year. For more information, email ODWC President Kathy White..
